Brian W. Cheek is a Missouri-based fantasy author, husband, father, and hazmat fuel driver who spends his days delivering fuel to gas stations and his nights building worlds filled with impossible choices, dangerous magic, and ordinary people asked to carry extraordinary burdens.
His love of fantasy began in seventh grade when a teacher placed Susan Cooper's The Dark Is Rising in his hands—a book that convinced him there was nothing more exciting than stepping into another world.
A lifelong fan of epic fantasy, Magic: The Gathering, tabletop games, football—especially the Kansas City Chiefs—and golf, Brian believes the best stories leave readers with a sense of wonder and the feeling that, for a little while, they truly lived alongside the characters. The Ash Path is his debut novel.
